Will increase EU overall resilience and effectiveness in cross-border disasters with multiple victims by enhancing transnational and cross-sectorial trust among different players and in their interaction with data-driven technologies.

VALKYRIES

The integration of the harmonized solutions will constitute the SIGRUN platform, providing advanced communications, information sharing and tactical C&C services for the first-aid responders.

VALKYRIES

Four use cases will be developed on cross-frontier and cross-sectorial BLOS (Beyond Line of Sight) scenarios, where the usual communications infrastructure could have been damaged, and emergency response teams are deployed without an accurate view of the operation environment.

3^rd Workshop on Recent Advances in Cyber Situational Awareness on Military Operations

The Bulgarian Defence Institute will present the VALKYRIES project and its implication in the civil-military cooperation through a conference in the 3rd Workshop on Recent Advances in Cyber Situational Awareness on Military Operations (CSA 2022) that will be held on August 23-26^th in conjunction with the ARES workshops EU Projects Symposium 2022 at 17^th International Conference on Availability, Reliability and Security.
A proceeding will be published after the event.

May 18-20, 2022

VALKYRIES Second Plenary Meeting

On May 18-20^th, the second plenary of the project will take place in Pisa, in which representatives of each partner will attend.
In this meeting, the performance of the project to date will be analyzed and areas for improvement will be identified by the technical and management leaders in order to achieve the success of the project.

First Ethical and Legal Workshop on CPDP Congress

On May 23-25^th, the Computer, Privacy & Data Protection Congress will take place in Brussels in which the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies will participate with a paper entitled "Transitional (Legal) Times for R&D and R&I Sectors", on Wednesday 25 in the room "The Cave". This event will include the First Ethical and Legal Workshop, which will be attended by members of the external advisory board.

The XXXII SEMES National Congress will take place in Vigo (Spain) on June 8-10^th. During this event our partner Tassica will present the project through a recently accepted poster convering general information of VALKYRIES and specific objectives of SIGRUN reference integration.

VALKYRIES KOM

The VALKYRIES Kick-of-meeting took place on October 4^th and 5^th 2021 at Indra's facilities in Alcobendas, Spain.
Given the current situation of Covid-19, the event was held in a semi-face-to-face format.
With this event the project that will last for 24 months begins, as well as the development of its tasks, milestones and deliverables.

FEINDEF 2021 conference.

On November 5^th 2021, the Project coordinator, Juan-Román Martínez Arranz, will present the VALKYRIES Project at the round table “Horizon Europe and civil security for society” that will take place at the International Defense Fair (FEINDEF) in Spain.
